Aangename sfeer, zeer nette taverne, werd vriendelijk begroet door de nieuwe uitbaters, bestelde een spaghetti bolognese (16 euro) en deze werd perfect klaargemaakt met een lekkere saus en geraspte kaas, als drank genoot ik van een Sinay 1217 een prima streekbiertje, aan de straatkant is geen terras (dit bevindt zich achter de keuken), kortom: De Ster is één van de beste eetgelegenheden van Sinaai en omliggende

Een topadresje in Sinaai. We hadden de entrecôte. Heerlijk mals en sappig vlees, met een smaakvol sausje erbij. Als steakliefhebbers hebben we hier een mooi nieuw adresje gevonden. Ter afsluiting had mijn vrouw crême brulée, en als kenner wist ze te zeggen dat het een van de betere was die ze al gegeten had. Mooi van brulée en een vrij grote portie. Ikzelf had de kaasplank (van de suggestiekaart) en geloof me, het was een smaaksensatie. De combinatie van 4 zachte en pittige kazen gepaard aan twee zorgvuldig gekozen konfijten en licht geroosterde stukjes brood geeft een zoet-zout-pittig combinatie die perfect gaat met de huiswijn (ook van zeer goede kwaliteit). De bediening is heel vriendelijk, gemoedelijk en professioneel, met een zeer sympathieke eigenares. En de sfeer op het binnenterras straalt een soort dorpscharme uit, die je enkel in een klein dorp zoals dit vind. Kortom, een aanrader voor het Waasland!

Het is gezellig. tinie die er als gewoone fijne dame de bediening doet en zelfs de chef komt al eens gerechten brengen . De zaak in mijn geboortedorp is altijd de ster geweest. Met oude vloer en gezellige sfeer. Mooi terras ook.
